These pages highlight four different eras of his career. Each one was marked by a distinct change in his life as well artistic style. Starting with his formative years of artistic training in Croatia and Italy. The second phase is his early years in America working with Mestrovic and starting a family. During this time his work became recognized for his elongated human figures. The third phase was encompasses his tenure at Gilmour Academy, where he reverted to a more traditional style. And lastly, his stark departure from his previous work into a more contemporary exploration. During these different phases he never completely abandoned his previous style, just built upon it. The last page contains images of his large scale commission work he completed for various churches, institutions and public installations These works repesent a small fraction of Joseph's career which spanned over sixty years and three countries.
